Golfland hit by Employer Sactions Violations

In the news today, Golfland, Waterworld, and Big Surf were hit with a simultaneous search by the Maricopa County Sheriff's office. The story says that 104 of the 198 people (that's 52.5%) who work for Golfland have problems with their social security number. That seems to be a pretty big deal.

They arrested a couple of employees on a tip from a former employee. One guy even ran away, which is always a good way to prove your innocence. It will be interesting to see if the sheriff's office goes after the company this time.

What is most interesting to me is that when you look at a story like this, it always has 40 or 50 pages of comments attached to it. No other topic comes close to immigration in getting people fired up. Especially in parts of Mesa where the day laborers are standing on the street corners and people's houses are being broken into, having something like this is only going to add fuel to the fire.

Well Ill tell you what if were not going to follow thru with whatever is the consequences are for this then we probably shouldnt keep going to these businesses an scaring the hell out of these people for nothing more than what? How good its making Sheriff Joe look on the nightly news.. Im willing to bet all that were arrested on tv just this afternoon are home already looking for a new job... This state needs to decide what exactly we want to do about the illegals an follow thru with it because as it stands come on ~there here an here to stay an as long as our healthcare keeps providing an DES keeps inabling, why the hell would they go back they can live here on loan or grant for housing repaying what 60% of the loan back only ~we cant we have to pay the whole amount~open businesses doing the same with no taxes too~we cant~an they bring the stuff they sale over here from Mexico.
So weather or not anyone agrees or disagrees on this if we dont start doing something about it we really need to just drop it right here an quit making Sheriff Joe the monument that he really isnt.

Im sorry the thing is as far as the news stated the employer wasnt charged or no actions have been taken other than them taking the employees. All this based on the questionable 108 of 148 social security numbers.. Are they kidding with those numbers why is this business open at all if were in fact going to charge employers for hiring illegals well then this is my point. If were gonna just watch as Joe an his crew go into these businesses an do this are we gonna follow thru or just show it on the news. One or the other there are too many mixed messages coming from our city an county offices anymore an really its just taunting people I can only imagine the patrons as the sheriffs office rolled up.... not to mention the fact that if they had picked up that many as questioned from the numbers who was left running the place when they were done
